Peskov: Incorrect to speak about special support for middle class

MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- Speaking about a special program to support Russia’s middle class amid the spread of the coronavirus disease is incorrect, the program is intended for the entire country, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

“No, there is no such plan and there should not be. There are measures to support the people, all the people. And it is absolutely incorrect to view the middle class separately,” he said.

“We can speak about the necessity to minimize the consequences for all the people in our country, the consequences of the coronavirus. Including the economic dimension of the crisis. Without highlighting the middle class,” he added.
